Our Story

We are Adam & Allison, a married couple who are the founders of Inching Along Productions.

Back in 2002, some friends of ours showed us a photo album they had made of their baby Benjamin's first year of life. The album contained 52 printed photos they had taken: one from each week of the year. As we flipped the pages, we could get a sense of Ben becoming bigger and developing a personality each week. We thought it was a fun way to see him grow.

Later, when our baby Evan was born, we wanted to make something similar to that photo album. Fortunately, we realized that modern digital technology now made it possible to create an album which would be much more interesting and fun. We could use specialized software to weave the photos together into something like a “growth chart movie.”  We saw that some other parents had tried to do something along those lines and they had posted their results on the Internet. But we felt theirs were herky-jerky and amateurish. So, instead, we used some of Hollywood's favorite techniques, such as “greenscreens,” and we blended in a few of our own. It took a lot of work to achieve the results we wanted. But, in the end, we loved the way Evan's movie looked. We showed it to our friends, and they loved it too. In fact, they started asking us to create similar movies for their own kids. And now, we want you to be able to have a treasured keepsake for your children too. So, Inching Along Productions can now make a Video GrowthChart for you too.

Also: When Allison was pregnant with Oliver, our second child, we took a weekly picture of her and made a movie of them too. Those nine months were a special time our lives, and her Labor of Love Video GrowthChart helped capture them perfectly.
